Our Staff
A wide range of people make up the team at Perth Clinic. All are selected on their expertise, ability to work well within a team environment and commitment to providing a quality service.
Therapists
The therapists come from a variety of backgrounds and include Clinical Psychologists, Occupational therapist, Social Work and Family and Marriage therapist.
As part of Perth Clinic's ongoing commitments to quality, staff are encouraged to pursue futher education, and other training activities both externally and as part of Perth Clinic's continuing education series.
Regular supervision groups, peer review sessions, journal club meetings and other formal presentations all contribute to the updating and upskilling of our staff.
Nursing
Our nursing staff are specially selected men and women who are experienced in Psychiatry. They include General and Psychiatry Trained Level 1 nurses, Clinical Nurses (level 2 and 3) and enrolled nurses.
Regular education updates are a necessary part of the workload. Further education and training is also encouraged and rewarded. Perth Clinic is actively involved in student supervision and training of up and coming nurses.
Administration
Reception and Administration staff are generally our front line. We have long recognised how important they are to making people's entry into and departure from Perth Clinic as quick and easy as possible.
Working in a Psychiatric setting brings special challenges to this area. The administration and reception staff are selected for their interpersonal skills as well as their secretarial and administrative skills. By offering in-house education about the special needs of psychiatric patients these people are able to answer many of your questions regarding our services.
Environmental Staff
Our environmental staff have always been regarded as our greatest asset. It is not only that they efficiently conduct their work, but they are always cheerful and kind and happy to help out in whatever way they can.
Catering
All our meals are prepared by our own kitchen. The staff are specially selected for their skills in preparing a variety of gourmet meals for large numbers of people. With strict adherence to "foodsafe" guidelines, you can rest assured of always having a quality meal.
Our cooks do the best they can to cater to everyone's taste. If you have special dietary requirement, these can be catered for by our kitchen.
