Perth Clinic recognises that returning to work after an absence can be daunting.  The Clinic will provide support and mentoring and will assist with re-training and re-skilling for nurses who return to work.

REGISTERED MENTAL HEALTH NURSES 1/11/2008
            
NEW AND EXCITING CAREER OPPORTUNITY
 
PERTH CLINIC is recognised as being a leading centre for private psychiatric care in Western Australia.
 
Perth Clinic has a new and exciting career opportunity for experienced Mental Health Nurses to be part of a Commonwealth Government funded trial.
 
The Mental Health Nurse Incentive Programme is a six month project (likely to be extended) which has been developed to enable psychiatrists to engage with mental health nurses to provide additional support to patients with mental health issues.
 
As a level 2.4 Clinical Nurse you will be employed by Perth Clinic to facilitate nurse lead clinics within a community setting.
 
You will work in collaboration with psychiatrists to provide services such as:
  • Monitoring patients mental state
  • Medication management and side effect profiling
  • Improving liaison with other service providers
  • Psycho-social interventions
  • Relapse prevention
  • Family / carer support
You will need to be a registered nurse, who has obtained and/or is working towards obtaining specialist qualifications in mental health.
There are full and part time positions available and Perth Clinic is able to support you with credentialing with the ACMHN.
